WOC-owned jewelry & accessory brand offering custom-made, new and upcycled pieces.
Founded by Clare Ngai, who immigrated from Hong Kong to the U.S. when she was 18 to attend college, she’s worked in the fashion industry and specifically in the digital and influencer marketing space for the last decade. A maximalist at heart, BONBONWHIMS was created with the consumer who struggles to choose between delicate gold jewelry and bold, whimsical pieces in mind.
In summer 2020 during a global pandemic, Clare took her long-term passion and interest for jewelry to Instagram and used it as a vehicle to raise awareness and funds for BIPOC organizations at the same time. The beloved customizable BONBON DROPS necklace quickly became a Bestseller and the brand was then expanded to other categories and a website was born. Within the first year of its launch, BONBONWHIMS is featured in the
New York Times, VOGUE, Forbes, ELLE, WWD, Town & Country, InStyle, WhoWhatWear, The Cut, Marie Claire, PopSugar, Cosmopolitan and Refinery29 to name a few.
